Was ist Lurex?<\/h1>\n

Lurex<\/p><\/div>\n

Lurex bezeichnet ein Kunststoffgarn, das mit metallisierten Fasern aus Polyester<\/a> hergestellt wird und eine bandf\u00f6rmige Form<\/strong>. Dabei wird das Garn mit Aluminium<\/a>, Silber<\/a> oder Gold<\/a> bedampft, die den typisch metallischen Glanz<\/strong> des Garns erzeugen.<\/p>\n

Werden Kunstharze zum F\u00e4rben verwendet, kann auch ein goldener oder bronzefarbener Schimmer produziert werden. Lurex ist ein eingetragener Markenname<\/strong> und geht zur\u00fcck auf den gleichnamigen Erfinder Lurex.<\/p>\n

Eigenschaften von Lurex<\/h2>\n

Wie bereits erw\u00e4hnt, ist Lurex ein glitzernes Metallgarn<\/strong>, welches aus feinsten Aluminiumb\u00e4ndchen <\/strong>besteht, das auf Cellulose \u2013 Acetat \u2013 Folien aufkaschiert wird. Das positive an Lurex ist, dass es sehr knitterarm, strapazierf\u00e4hig <\/strong>und rei\u00dffest <\/strong>ist. Es ist auch ein sehr weicher Stoff, der wenig kratzt.<\/p>\n

Unter anderem kann Lurex Dampffeuchtigkeit von bis zu 2,5% aufnehmen und wieder nach au\u00dfen abgeben. Doch neben den positiven Eigenschaften gibt es auch ein paar negative Dinge zu bem\u00e4ngeln. Lurex ist grunds\u00e4tzlich sehr hitzeempfindlich <\/strong>und kann nicht in der Waschmaschine oder im Trockner bearbeitet werden.<\/p>\n

Wie sind Lurexgarne aufgebaut?<\/h2>\n

Das Lurexgarn – oder auch Effektgarn genannt – ist schichtig <\/strong>aufgebaut und dessen urspr\u00fcngliche Farbe ist silber, doch durch die Zugabe von Farbstoffen kann die ganze Farbpalette glitzern. Entweder ist die Polyesterfolie<\/a> mit Aluminiumstaub bedeckt oder aber der Kern besteht aus Aluminiumfolie, welche auf der Innenseite von einem chemischen Schutzfilm \u00fcberzogen ist<\/p>\n

Verwendung von Lurex<\/h2>\n

Lurexgarn wird nat\u00fcrlich dort verwendet, wo edle und besondere Akzente gefragt sind. Oftmals wird Lurex als eingearbeitetes Effektmaterial in Faschingskost\u00fcmen<\/strong> benutzt oder auch f\u00fcr bestimmte spezielle N\u00e4hte in Str\u00fcmpfen<\/strong>. Vor allem werden Lurex-Fasern in der exklusiven Abendmode<\/strong>, f\u00fcr modische Blazer und Blusen verwendet.<\/p>\n

H\u00e4ufig werden sie auch als Reinigungsschwamm<\/strong> genutzt, da diese sehr kraftvoll reinigen und schonend hartn\u00e4ckige Verschmutzung wegen der rauen Oberfl\u00e4che entfernen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

Der Vorteil bei Lurexgarn ist die problemlose Verarbeitung und sein geringes Gewicht. Diese beiden positiven Eigenschaften erh\u00e4lt Lurex durch den Einsatz von Leichtmetall. Des Weiteren ist Lurex in der Herstellung sehr kosteng\u00fcnstig.<\/p>\n

Reinigung von Lurex<\/h2>\n

Bei der Reinigung<\/strong> von Lurex-Fasern kommt es immer darauf an, wie Lurex zusammengesetzt ist. Kunstfaser und Baumwolle<\/a> mit Lurexf\u00e4den k\u00f6nnen problemlos kalt gewaschen werden. Doch bei Lurexgewebe nicht.<\/p>\n
