Brokat<\/p><\/div>\n

Brokat ist ein sehr schwerer und fester Stoff in dem Gold- oder Silberf\u00e4den miteingewebt wurden. Brokatstoff ist f\u00fcr seine aufw\u00e4ndig gewebten<\/strong>, sch\u00f6nen Muster bekannt, die meist in der Atlasbindung<\/a> gewebt werden. F\u00fcr die Herstellung wird oft Baumwolle<\/a>, Seide<\/a> oder ein Viskosefilamentgarn (auch bekannt unter den Namen Rayon, Reyon oder Kunstseide) verwendet.<\/p>\n

Fr\u00fcher waren Brokatstoffe vor allem ein Privileg der Adligen<\/strong> und auch heute noch ist Brokat wegen seiner wertvollen Rohstoffe sehr kostbar. Oft werden aber auch Mischgewebe angefertigt, die nur mit gl\u00e4nzenden Metallf\u00e4den verziert werden und dadurch wesentlich g\u00fcnstiger.<\/p>\n

Brokatstoff wird oft als Bezug f\u00fcr M\u00f6bel<\/a><\/strong>, historische Gew\u00e4nder, Dekorationsstoffe, Schuhe, Taschen oder sogar Tapete<\/a> verwendet. Ebenfalls bekannt ist Mako-Brokat-Damast<\/a> Bettw\u00e4sche.<\/p>\n

Was bedeutet Brokat?<\/h2>\n

Das Wort Brokat leitet sich vom italienischen Wort broccato ab. Seinen Ursprung hat der edle Stoff vermutlich in China<\/strong>, wo auch die Seidenproduktion begann. Denn die ersten Brokat-Stoffe wurden aus reiner Seide angefertigt und waren den chinesischen Kaisern vorbehalten. Brokat Kleidung wurde schon immer reich verziert, nicht nur mit Gold- und Silberf\u00e4den<\/strong>, sondern auch mit Edelsteinen. Von China erreichte der Brokat bald Persien, Syrien und Indien<\/strong> und fand dort gro\u00dfen Anklang.<\/p>\n

Zuletzt fand der Brokatstoff seinen Weg nach Europa, wo er sehr beliebt beim Adel und Klerus war. Schlie\u00dflich konnte sich nicht jeder den kostbaren Brokat-Stoff kaufen. Auch die Herstellung war anfangs nicht jedem gel\u00e4ufig.<\/p>\n

Wie w\u00e4scht man Brokat?<\/h2>\n

Brokatstoff ist nicht sehr pflegeleicht und in erster Linie abh\u00e4ngig vom verwendeten Rohstoff. Seiden-Brokat<\/strong> ist besonders anf\u00e4llig und sollte nur trocken gereinigt werden. Baumwoll-Brokat kann zum Teil auch in der haushalts\u00fcblichen Waschmaschine gewaschen werden. Wenn Sie Baumwoll-Brokat waschen m\u00f6chten, verwenden Sie aber unbedingt Feinwaschmittel ohne optischen Aufheller<\/a> und w\u00e4hlen Sie eine niedrige Waschtemperatur<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Achten Sie auch unbedingt auf die W\u00e4schezeichen auf dem Material, die vom Hersteller angebracht wurden. Sind keine Angaben mehr vorhanden und Sie k\u00f6nnen den Rohstoff nicht bestimmen, dann bringen Sie den Brokat zur professionellen Reinigung. Dort kann man Ihnen sicher weiterhelfen.
