Bei den Webstoffen gibt es <strong>drei Grundbindungsarten<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>die <a title=\"Was ist eine Leinwandbindung?\" href=\"\/lexikon\/leinwandbindung\/\"> Leinwandbindung<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>die <a title=\"Was ist eine K\u00f6perbindung?\" href=\"\/lexikon\/koeperbindung\/\"> K\u00f6perbindung<\/a> und<\/li>\n<li>die Atlasbindung oder auch Satinbindung.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Das Erkennungszeichen f\u00fcr die Atlasbindung ist eine <strong>glatte, gl\u00e4nzende Oberfl\u00e4che<\/strong> und eine matte R\u00fcckseite, was typisch f\u00fcr Satin ist. Weil dieses Merkmal sowohl f\u00fcr die Bindung als auch das Material steht, wird die Atlasbindung auch synonym als Satinbindung bezeichnet.<\/p>\n<h2>Wie wird in Atlasbindung gewebt?<\/h2>\n<p>Satin ist sicherlich eines der bekanntesten Gewebe das in Atlasbindung gewebt wird. Ein Gewebe besteht aus Kett- und Schussf\u00e4den. Die <strong>Kettf\u00e4den<\/strong> (kurz: Kette) sind die auf den Webrahmen gespannten F\u00e4den, der Schuss bzw. <strong>Schussfaden<\/strong> wird durch sie hindurch gewebt. Bei der <strong>Atlasbindung<\/strong> ist der Webrhythmus wie folgt: unter einem Kettfaden hindurch, dann \u00fcber mehr als zwei hinweg, wieder unter einem hindurch und so weiter. In der n\u00e4chsten Reihe wird das Muster um mindestens zwei Kettf\u00e4den zur Seite verlegt (normalerweise nach rechts), manchmal auch um eins nach oben. So entsteht ein Stoff, an dessen Oberseite die sichtbaren Schussf\u00e4den bei weitem \u00fcberwiegen: man spricht hier von <strong>langen Flottungen<\/strong> (also Schussf\u00e4den, die \u00fcber mehrere Kettf\u00e4den liegen). Je nach Fadenqualit\u00e4t zeigt die Oberseite eines Atlasgewebes den charakteristischen <strong>zarten bis starken Glanz<\/strong>. Ein Atlas f\u00e4llt weich und hat einen geschmeidigen Griff.<\/p>\n<p>Beim Atlasgewebe sehen Stoffober- und Unterseite unterschiedlich aus: die Unterseite ist eher matt, weil hier die Kettf\u00e4den h\u00e4ufiger zu sehen sind als die Schussf\u00e4den. Man unterscheidet daher <strong>Kettatlas<\/strong> und <strong>Schussatlas<\/strong>. Durch einen Wechsel von Partien in Kett- und Schussatlas ist es auch m\u00f6glich, Muster in das Atlasgewebe einzuf\u00fcgen. Man spricht dann von <a title=\"Was ist Damast?\" href=\"\/lexikon\/damast\/\"> Damast<\/a> oder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wohnen.de\/lexikon\/jacquard\/\">Jacquard<\/a>. Die Bindungspunkte beim Atlas ber\u00fchren sich nicht, sind sogar verh\u00e4ltnism\u00e4\u00dfig weit voneinander entfernt. Deshalb ist ein Atlasgewebe auch nicht so robust wie beispielsweise ein Gewebe in Leinwandbindung. Die Flottungen k\u00f6nnen sich bei Reibung verhaken &#8211; ein Atlas hat demnach eine <strong>reduzierte Scheuerfestigkeit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Wo wird die Atlasbindung verwendet?<\/h2>\n<p>Wie gesagt ist <a title=\"Was ist Satin?\" href=\"\/lexikon\/satin\/\"> Satin<\/a> eins der bekanntesten Atlasgewebe. Satin kann aus <a title=\"Welche Eigenschaften hat Seide?\" href=\"\/lexikon\/seide\/\"> Seide<\/a>, Viskose oder Polyester hergestellt werden &#8211; in der <strong>Bettwarenindustrie<\/strong> findet man jedoch am h\u00e4ufigsten Satin aus <a title=\"Welche Eigenschaften hat Baumwolle?\" href=\"\/lexikon\/baumwolle\/\"> Baumwolle<\/a>, weil dieser angenehm <strong>langlebig und pflegeleicht<\/strong> ist.
